crusty surpreme pizza. ingredients: 12oz. firm tofu 1 8oz. can tomato paste 3-5 cloves garlic, finely minced 2 tbsp. soya sauce 2 tbsp. nutritional yeast cayenne pepper, to taste black pepper, to taste 1 large loaf crusty bread, unsliced your choice chopped veggies (e.g, roma tomatoes, mushrooms, artichoke hearts, etc) olive oil or cooking spray instructions: 1.) preheat oven to 375 degreesF. in a food processor or blender, blend tofu, tomato paste, garlic, soya sauce, nutritional yeast, cayenne pepper and black pepper until smooth. 2.) slice the loaf of bread in half lengthwise and spread each half with half of the tomato-tofu mixture. spray the chopped veggies with cooking spray or toss with olive oil so that they will roast well. 3.) cover each half loaf with oil, chopped veggies, pressing them into the tomato-tofu spread so that they do not fall off easily. 4.) bake on a high rack in the oven at 375 degreesF for 15 to 20 minutes or until the veggies are starting to roast and the tofu spread is heated through. slice and serve.
