sesame garlic seitan. (www.speedvegan.com) ingredinets: 8 oz seitan, cut into strips 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil 1 tbsp peanut oil 1/4 cup agave nectar sesame seeds (to garnish) batter: 1/4 cup flour 2 tbsp cornstarch 1 tsp egg replacer 1/4 tsp baking powder 1/4 cup plain soymilk 1 tbsp tamari 2 cloves garlic, minced instructions: 1.) in a deep bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, egg replacer and baking powder. 2.) add soymilk and tamari. whisk until there are no lumps. stir in the garlic. 3.) heat oils in a wok over medium-high heat. 4.) mix the seitan in with the batter and transfer to wok. 5.) stir fry the seitan, stirring constantly, until each piece is golden brown. 6.) lower heat and stir in the agave nectar. cook for another minute. tranfer to serving plate and garnish with sesame seeds.
